And don’t worry: they all implement strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of their staff and guests. Take a look at these great destinations where your brood can have a safe and spectacular time: Zoo Atlanta 800 Cherokee Ave SE Monday to Sunday | 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Zoo Atlanta is the closest you can get to African wildlife without leaving the Peach State. Its African Savanna features animals such as elephants, giraffes, and rhinos, and hopes to educate visitors about the importance of wildlife conservation. It is also one of the only four zoos in the country that houses giant pandas, which are native to China. Aside from seeing over 200 animal species, your kids can also enjoy attractions like the mini-train, carousel, and climbing walls. Safety reminders: Masks are required for all guests ages 10 and up. Furthermore, visits must be scheduled ahead of time by purchasing timed tickets online. Georgia Aquarium 225 Baker Street NW Monday to Sunday |9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The Georgia Aquarium is one of the state’s must-see attractions, and its reopening has been greeted with much excitement. Holding over 10 million gallons of water, this attraction is home to thousands of aquatic life, including beluga whales, manta rays, sea otters, and whale sharks. There are also several animal encounters that will make your visit even more memorable, such as Sea Lions Up Close and Dolphins in Depth. Safety reminders: Entrance is spaced out in 30-minute increments and tickets must be purchased online before your arrival. All visitors aged three and up must wear a mask and will have their temperatures checked upon entry.  Atlanta Botanical Gardens 1345 Piedmont Ave NE Tuesday to Sunday |9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Garden Lights, Holiday Nights, an annual light show held at Atlanta Botanical Gardens, is sure to bring much-needed cheer to this otherwise somber year. Aside from this event, visitors can also explore the 30-acre park which features attractions like the Lou Glenn Children’s Garden, the Tropical Rotunda, and the Edible Garden. Another can’t-miss feature is the Fuqua Orchid Center, which is home to a wide variety of high-elevation orchids found nowhere else in the Southeast. Safety reminders: Guests must reserve their slot by purchasing timed tickets online. The garden will limit the number of guests to ensure compliance with social distancing guidelines. High Museum of Art 1280 Peachtree St NE Tuesday to Sunday |10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Known to locals simply as “The High,” this 312,000-square-foot museum houses over 15,000 masterpieces categorized into seven collection areas: photography, decorative arts, African art, European art, American art, Modern art, and Folk/Self-taught art. It also has rotating exhibitions that feature top contemporary artists such as Julie Mehretu, Dawoud Bey, and Doris and Alex Harris. The affordable monthly membership fee grants you unlimited daytime admission, as well as access to most of the special exhibitions.  Safety reminders: All guests above two years old must wear masks at all times. You must also purchase your ticket online before your visit. Paid parking is available but only credit and debit cards will be accepted to limit physical contact. LEGOLAND Discovery Center 3500 Peachtree Rd NE Mondays, Thursday to Sunday |10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  The LEGOLAND Discovery Center is a place where kids (and the kids at heart) can let their imagination roam free. This attraction features an indoor LEGO® playground where visitors are free to build and create to their heart’s content. There’s also a 4D cinema and theme park-inspired rides, as well as a scale-model replica of Atlanta made entirely out of LEGO® bricks. It’s truly one of the best attractions for kids in Atlanta. Safety reminders: Due to social distancing guidelines, visitor capacity will be reduced. As such, booking a ticket online is the best way to guarantee admission.
